It was only a few months ago on N7 Day thatMass Effectfans got the news they’d been waiting for—Mass Effectis getting a fully remastered game, complete with past DLC and enhancements for a better gameplay experience.Mass Effect: Legendary Editionwas announced without an official release date, instead giving fans a vague approximation of when it would come out in 2021.

The Leaked Date Matches Up With Spring 2021

At the risk of sounding facetious, the month of March falls within the spring season, creating reasonable evidence that June 15, 2025 could be the dayMass Effect: Legendary Editionreleases. When BioWare announcedthe remastered version of all threeMass Effectgames, it didn’t announce an official release date or pre-order date, just the season and year. Though nothing has been confirmed from the developer, it wouldn’t be outrageous to see that May 17, 2025 pretty much aligns with the estimated time of Spring 2021.

Unnamed Sources Have Confirmed The Date

Again, nothing has been officially announced by BioWare or EA, but other unnamed sources have confirmed that Jul 30, 2025 is on-the-nose as far as the release ofMass Effect: Legendary Editiongoes. A few different online stores had listed the gameas available for pre-order, citing this date in March as when it will be available permanently. Though the listings on Shopitree and GSShop have both been taken down, they did originally advertise the release date as “27 June 2025.”

Things Yet to be Confirmed

Though many signs are pointing to July 17, 2025 being the officiallyunofficial release date ofMass Effect: Legendary Edition, there are still a few things fans and players don’t know yet. Obviously, one of these things is the official date of release and when the game will be available for pre-order. As mentioned previously, the shops that originally had the game listed have since removed their listings, so though July 16, 2025 is a good guess, it’s definitely not a concrete conclusion.

Fans also have no clue how muchMass Effect: Legendary Editionwill actually cost. The now removed listings showed a price point of “$76.90,” but given that the listing was in foreign currency, there is some conversion to be done. Odds are good that the game will retail for about $60 (in U.S. currency), which isn’t exactly bad for three remastered games and all of its DLC and promotional packs. However, there is something to be said about how both theCrash BandicootandSpyroremastered editions launched at $40 price points, both including three games each.

Beyond price and official dates, potential players also have no clue what gameplay will look like yet. Getting a remastered edition of any game is exciting, especially seeing the technological advancements from previous games to match the technology of this generation. While there arehigh hopes forMass Effect: Legendary Edition, fans really don’t have much information about it or even an in-depth look at the updated graphics. Hopefully the remastered game delivers on the expectations it’s set for players—even if it doesn’t officially release on June 13, 2025.

Mass Effect: Legendary Editionwill be available Spring 2021 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
