The breakout open-world action RPGGenshin Impacthas been very successful since its launch, bringing an incredible amount of attention to Chinese developer miHoYo. Fans around the world have explored the fantastical setting of Teyvat and met the game’s striking cast of characters, but some fans have gotten a little more attached than others. OneGenshin Impactplayer took a break from snowboarding when they realized they forgot to complete their Daily Commissions.

Genshin Impactoffers four random Daily Commissionsto players who have completed the World Quest “Every Day a New Adventure” each day, delivering rewards if they are completed. In the beginning, these Commissions are only available in the region of Mondstadt, but completing specific quests will open up Daily Commissions for the regions of Liyue and Inazuma as well.

Redditor mizdotexe shared a short video showcasing their decision to take time out of a very busy day to finish their Daily Commissions. The video begins by panning over a snowy mountain, showing that the player is surrounded by moving skiers and snowboarders, before revealing the Redditor’s feet are still strapping to their snowboard. However, this doesn’t stop mizdotexe fromcontinuing to playGenshin Impact. The player has removed their gloves and is tapping away at their phone screen with bare fingers despite the cold environment.

Some gamers with skiing or snowboarding experience may be concerned for mizdotexe, but they stated that the phone was so warm they didn’t feel the cold. This may make a degree of sense, as cell phones can get quite hot when a complex game is being played on them. One user joked that Mizdotexe waschanneling their inner Albedo, as Albedo is connected toGenshin Impact’s Dragonspine area - a location plagued by the potentially lethal status effect Sheer Cold - and has a very high tolerance for cold as a result.

Other fans have expressed awe at mizdotexe’s dedication toGenshin Impactandthe 60 daily Primogemsthat can be earned through Daily Commissions. Several users cautioned mizdotexe to play near a warming seelie or campfire to avoid being affected by Sheer Cold, while another told them to turn the game up to max graphics settings to ensure the cell phone stayed warm. A second user theorized that the fake Albedo was the one filming the video. A third told mizdotexe to get off the slope before playingGenshin Impact, as they could get injured if someone crashed into them.

Genshin Impactis available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
